Cancellation Policy

Please note that once you have booked an appointment with us it means that we have reserved time in our schedule exclusively for you. If you cancel your appointment less then 24 hours before it is scheduled to take place, or do not show up for your appointment, you will be subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of the total appointment fee with no exceptions. We understand that unforeseen emergencies do come up, but we reserve the right to enforce this policy. Please keep in mind that if a cancellation charge is necessary, to not take it personally and that we are very appreciative of your understanding and cooperation.

Late to appointment

If you are 15 minutes+ late for your scheduled appointment, we will modify and provide the service for which the time remaining allows. If this is not possible, or your scheduled time has elapsed, this will result in a "late appointment cancellation fee" of 100% of the total service with no exceptions.

Since we are an appointment based business, cancellations and missed appointments leave gaps in the schedule that cannot be filled without timely notice. This prevents us from being able to accommodate other guests waiting for appointments. As a courtesy, we send a confirmation email and SMS reminder 48 hours before your scheduled appointment. However, if we are unable to reach you or you have opted out of this feature, please note that our policy still applies. It is your responsibility to remember your appointment dates and avoid missed appointments, late arrivals and cancellation/late fees.

To avoid a cancellation fee, please provide cancellation notice of at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. Please cancel or reschedule your appointment through the link in your confirmation or reminder email. Alternatively, you can email us hello@meganforrestesthetics.ca or text us 705-293-7888. *Please do not call as we do not have a receptionist.

Same-Day Appointments

Appointments booked for the same day are considered confirmed and cannot be cancelled, to adhere to our standard cancellation policy. Failure to attend your same-day booking, with or without proper notification, will result in the no-show fee being charged.

General Policies

WHAT IS THE RETURN POLICY ON PRODUCTS THAT ARE OPENED ONCE PURCHASED?

Once opened we cannot refund or exchange products.

GIFT CARDS

Gift Cards must be presented at the time of the appointment. A gift card cannot be used if it is not present with you physically at your service. Gift Certificates purchased on our website can be used towards services only. Please use them within 1 year from the purchase date.

Can the “late service cancellation fee” be used towards future appointments?

No, the late service cancellation payment covers the original time slot that was booked.

Tolerance Of Verbal Abuse And Threats

As a client, you agree to our cancellation policy once a valid credit card is provided. We are very clear and remind each and every client of this policy. Verbal abuse and threats will not be tolerated at MFE when we act on our cancellation policy. It is made clear in our policy that there are no exceptions made, as we are an appointment based business. We understand this type of cancellation policy doesn’t work for everyone, and ask those who do not agree with or accept our policy to avoid booking appointments with us.

Bringing babies or children to your appointment

We kindly ask you to avoid bringing children or babies to your appointment as our space is small and can cause a safety issue. We do not perform any of our services offered on children under the age of 16. Children 16 or 17 years of age must have parental consent to have any of our services performed.

Early Arrival to your appointment

We ask that you do not arrive more than 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment time as we do not have a waiting room. You don't need to call or knock before coming in but we do continue to ask you to wait in your vehicle until you are texted to come in for your appointment.

Photographing Service Results

Clients consent to MFE taking before and after service photographs. These photos are strictly used for a general service log of how the services are performed for training purposes to ensure we are giving the best service we can, for general liability purposes, and lastly, to having your before and after photographs used for our social media and marketing posts if we specifically ask you during your service to use them. Some photos are edited for lighting for our social media and marketing posts and clients agree to the editing of photos taken of them. ​ If you wish to not have your photograph used for social media or marketing or would rather have parts of your face covered in the photos for social media purposes, please specify that would not like us to use your photographs for marketing purposes when asked by your esthetician during your appointment. We will respect your wishes.
